Our Team
We are small but mighty in this early phase of Cornhusk Collective.
Giselle
Oliva
Giselle Oliva, an artist and Master’s candidate in Arts Business and Leadership through the Bolz Center at the Wisconsin School of Business, graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a degree in Music Business and Audio Production. She led a music organization with the largest budget on campus presenting a yearly chamber arts series. Giselle also supported local musicians through Wisconsin Music Ventures, offering workshops and performance opportunities, and now works with Broadjam, building their online presence to increase their member base. She is actively working to launch Cornhusk Collective and start the work of fulfilling its mission to serve artists residing in The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin.
Amber Cornelius
Amber Cornelius is an Oneida artist and administrator with years of experience working for the Tribe. She is self-taught in a variety of art forms including: Beadwork, Ribbon Skirt making, visual arts, clay jewelry, and healing arts. You can find Amber showcasing and selling her work at local events around the Oneida and Green Bay area. Her journey in the arts has been a process of discovery, healing, and excitement as she makes space for creativity and develops her work. When Giselle approached her about this idea, she offered invaluable feedback and direction about what this initiative needs to focus on to best serve artists. Both her artistic and administrative expertise will ensure that Cornhusk Collective effectively supports the community through art.
